“'"Don't I see stuck up everywhere / Abundant proof that cultured taste /
Has Beauty for its only care, / And upon Truth no thought to waste?'"' (ll.389-92)

Robert Browning's "Filippo Baldinucci on the Privilege of Burial" (1876)

Path 2 reading and discussion groups will deliver material concerning their assigned author to the class in a 15-20 minute presentation, to be completed at the beginning of class on the day for which they are scheduled (see the path 1 calendar for assigned dates). Responsibilities should be equally apportioned among group members, and presentations should include:

Students may deliver the required information in whatever manner they wish, as long as they cover the prescribed areas: creativity is encouraged. I will rely on the following rubric when assigning a score for this 10-point assignment.

40% concision relative success in covering maximum amount of required material in shortest amount of time
20% style ease and fluidity of presentation (I recommend against reading from notecards)
20% creativity imaginative elements (entertain while instructing your audience)
20% teamwork degree to which responsibilities are balanced among group members

No materials, written or otherwise, need be turned in.
